Remembering
Barbara Leff

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Barbara Leff. Her tireless efforts have created for our community the Encino-Tarzana Library Branch which is stellar and state-of-the-art. In her professional life she distinguished herself to her profession of Librarian, sharing with all of us her depth of knowledge, know how in the details of a successful library, and passion for both reading and recommending books. Barbara spent several decades volunteering as a Friend. As president of the Friends of Encino-Tarzana Library, her dedication was evident in overseeing all aspects of our group. A partial list includes presiding over Board meetings, the budget, book store, book sales, membership, book club, website, newsletter, brochure, disbursing our funds for library wish list items, and interaction with the senior librarian at the Branch. Barbara had a special way of engaging with people and was beloved by all. Barbara would definitely tell us that living to 89 is a life well lived. We all will miss our one-of-a-kind and wonderful Barbara.

Her service is scheduled for Sunday, March 27 at 2p pst at Groman Eden in Mission Hills.
